Under the umbrella of STEAM Teams, UPG has been instrumental in the introduction of two new STEM elective courses at D.A.T.E (Dekalb Academy of Technology & Environment) which are considered niche industries with a growing demand for qualified professionals. This includes Introduction to Pixel Art and Animation along with Introduction to Electrical Theory and Photovoltaic Systems.
Through the STEAM Teams platform, which includes STEM industry professionals, educators and community and parent-student committees; schools, community and educational organizations have the opportunity for elective, after school and workshops that expose and introduce these industries with practical and fun delivery. All STEAM Teams courses provide individual, group and hands on work in an interactive environment.
