The relationship with Saitama and UPG was formed when UPG CEO, Jerone Dodd, first began his professional basketball career in Japan. Saitama, the first team Mr. Dodd played for, has proved a long-time partner on various fronts. As Saitama transitioned from the JBL to the upstart bj-League in 2005, the opportunity was created for UPG to immerse itself into both leagues. UPG via Team Menfes teamed up with the Saitama Broncos of the bj – League to outfit the pioneer team. Team Menfes supplied all gear for the Broncos 2012 – 13 season with the style and quality it commands. PMG also has a history of providing professional consulting services with Saitama, advising on various aspects of operations.
